St. Valentine's Day
The big day!!! We all expected 14th February with hope for appropriate celebration. But let’s talk about our school activities. In the morning we were selling valentine’s cards and bracelets in the school. Of course, the money was for our charity club and its future campaigns. Expectedly, most of the students who bought cards and bracelets were from 12th grade. Happy St. Valentine’s Day, twelve-graders! We also give our teachers cards for free, because we all love them and appreciate their work.
Our next task was to create huge hearts for Veliko Tarnovo’s municipality, our local newspaper – “Yantra Today” and for the school hall. We cut the hearts from red cardboard and make little holes for ribbons. Then we wrote on them wishes about the day and our loved city. At noon we went first to the municipality where we give cards to all of its members to say “Thank you!” for the co-operation and support through the years. We were many students, so I decided to give cards to strangers on the street. I told you many times before that I love communicating with people and about the joy that you feel when you make somebody smile. Of course, sometimes you are disappointed when somebody thinks that you want money from them and try to avoid you, but most of the times people are friendly. Anyway, our next stop was the office of the local newspaper. People there are very kind and we have been working with them for eight years, so we were glad to see them as they were. We had a short speech about the St. Valentine’s and love and this is how our sharing ended.
I should mention that this year, as the previous one, was accompanied with love poems and songs on the street. All in all, it was a great day full of happiness and positive emotions!
